Scorching heat set to return today after day of wild surf
Dangerous surf conditions have closed beaches along the east coast yesterday, with a prolonged heatwave geared to grip several states.
Strong swells, linked to a low pressure system in the Tasman Sea, stirred many of Queensland’s most popular beaches, with three-time world champion Mick Fanning spotted lapping up waves at Burleigh Heads yesterday morning.
